FAQS

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

WHAT TO EXPECT?

You should wear loose/comfortable clothing to allow access to the area being treated. Men usually wear loose shorts, Women usually wear shorts and a sports bra or a clasp bra for back massage sessions. Your modesty is really important so towels will always be used to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.

If you go to the services page of the site                      there will be videos detailing each service which breakdown what they entain so you will know exactly what to expect for each treatment type.

WILL THE TREATMENT / SPORT MASSAGE HURT?

HOW SOON WILL I BE ABLE TO EXERCISE AFTER THE TREATMENT/SESSION?

Obviously there is never any intention to cause pain but sometimes working to loosen a muscle or muscle knot, realign scar tissue can be a bit discomforting but it it always a 'good pain' and you are always in control and I will always ask for feedback as to how the pressure feels.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GET A SPORTS OR THERAPUTIC MASSAGE

For sports massage the best times are any time are a week or the week, before an event, a few days after a big event and for maintenace and injury prevention regular spaced out sessions are encouraged or when you feel your muscles aren't recovering well or your performance is dropping.  For theraputic massage many clients book regular monthly appointments to keep aches from working at computers etc at bay and there are discounts available for this type of booking.

This will depend on the treatment being done but can be discussed after the treatment as a rule of thumb, the more times you have had a tretment like sports massage the quicker your recovery and it may not be appropriate for a first appointment 48 hours or less before a big event.

DO YOU ACCEPT HEALTH INSURANCE

Yes as long as your insurer will cover the treatment, an invoice can be provided with my details, the clinics details and reason for visit etc. After the treatment you then provide this to the health insurance provider, it is important to check with your health provider that they will take sports therapy, sports massage or theraputic massage as a treatable expense as each health insurance provider has different allowances.

IS THERE PARKING?

Yes there is plenty of parking, for the Brackley centre parking will be on the driveway in front of the treatment room.

CAN I PAY BY CARD?

Absoloutely the preferred method of payment as any discounts can then then be arranged, there are card readers at each site and payment is taken at the end of the treatment/session. Cash is accepted but card ipayment s preferred.
